We were recently asked to redesign a blog as an independent study. The blog owner interviews people in Washington DC and posts their stories on the web (www.peoplesdistrict.com). He said that he wanted the photography to be the main focus, that he liked earth tones, and wanted flexibility to expand the blog into other cities (in the way that there is DCist, LAist, etc.).

While I used some earth tone colors, I thought the feel of DC and it’s community was more vibrant, so I used electric green, orange and red to reflect this.

…Now we are on to building our portfolios. Almost done!
